garden accoutrements

def: equipment, paraphernalia, stuff, things, apparatus, implements, regalia, appurtenances, impedimenta, odds and ends, bits and pieces, trappings, accessories.

I was brought up very short by this outstanding example of garden sculpture beside the cycle path along the thames in the suburbs recently.

I’ve been considering what to write in relation to this image for over a week. I’m trying to find a phrase that says something about ‘a tool designed to make a place being used as display within that place’.

or ‘the thing used to cultivate becomes a cultivar’, or ‘how a spade becomes a plant’.

This also called ‘heritage’ I think.
