During my short artist residency at Mottisfont Abbey over the winter of 2011-12, I filmed Kat and Matt in February tying in the roses. I saw an opportunity for a ‘cross fade’ with the summer abundance. So I made a note to somehow make it back there in June to film again, and here it is.
The seasonal cross fade is a well trodden path, but the transformation still amazes me, particularly the way you can see the branching architecture of the trees within the leaf cloaking.
