Harvest show in Glastonbury Town Hall at the weekend.
Firstly, this ‘prolific arrangement in a good choice of vase‘.
The feedback card goes on to say ….’the only reason this was not included in the first 3 was because it contained berries‘.
That’s just mean thinking, conservative flower arranging. It was the vase that ruined it.
But this beats everything:
‘UFO over Glastonbury’ – the UFO made of a mushroom and blueberries (genius!), a parsnip tower and alfalfa sprouts giving a 3D surround landscape. I was lucky enough to meet the maker, very modest.
Artist and producer working across media and form, often making art with other people arising from context and place. Sue began collaborating as a teenager in a girl punk band, going on to work in live performance in the UK and internationally, including as a Lecturer at Dartington College of Arts in Devon. Commissions include work for festivals and non arts organisations. Sue also works in community and movement building around climate in her home town of Frome, Somerset, and as project lead for Future Shed Frome. Sue also convenes an experimental online Art Club with artist Joff Winterhart.
