Sydney Gardens Community Ranger – activity programmer, partnership manager, communications & public engagement (2017 – 2020)

National Lottery Heritage Funded £3.4m park restoration, capital build and public participatory project in Sydney Gardens, B&NES Council, Bath.

  • Activity Plan Lead for design and delivery of Round 1 Development: budgeting, communications and evaluation with the project team, for the successful NLHF Round 2 bid.
  • Managed the delivery of the Sydney Gardens Project Activity Plan: initiating and managing partnerships with community organisations and institutions inc Holburne Museum, Bath Preservation Trust, schools, refuge, social precsribing
  • Budget management of £141K programme
  • Communications and social media, recruiting and managing volunteers, project reporting and evaluation
  • Planning and delivering public activities in the park with priority audiences including under-resourced groups of all ages
  • Commissioning and delivering trails, heritage interpretation and large scale celebratory events including empire related histories
  • Worked within B&NES Parks Service participating in focus groups on Climate & Biodiversity Emergency, Volunteering and Friends of Parks Groups, Covid-safety guidance, public communications and social media.
